How many reports does it take to get a tiktok account banned?

Anyone know the number of reports generally needed to get a tiktok account suspended?

I think TikTok looks at reports based on the accuracy of the report itself, not the volume of reports. One super accurate report from a trusted user with clear evidence carries far more weight than 100 false or vague mass reports

It definitly works if done correctly. The easiest way to get a post removed or an account removed is if you can find one of their posts that is borderline against TikTok ToS, and then mass report that specific post. If the post is already somewhat risky or borderline content, spamming reports on it works really well. You just have to trick the algo into thinking users are seeing something the algo doesn’t see and the algo will air on the side of caution and remove the post.

They can appeal the decision and it will get manually reviewed by a human, so the video may come back if the user requests a manual review.

When tiktok first came out you could usually get an account killed with 40 or 50 reports but then people realized what was happening and everyone started doing it. I don’t know if there is a new method I have not been involved with that type of stuff in years now.

@BIGdave OP is asking how to get an account banned, not an individual post. Good reply none the less though.

And yes, you caan also get accounts banned but it’s no longer doable by bruteforcing fake reports, you have to sprinkle in some other stuff. It also wont work on any type of well-known or even semi-well-known accounts. If the account is that of an influencer or something, forget about it. If it’s a newish account with under 100 (real) followers, it’s doable.

I will share that one big thing to look at are the account’s followers. If the followers appear to be bot followers, it’s pretty easy to get their account taken out even if they have 1000’s upon 1000’s of followers. In fact, the more fake followers they have the easier it gets. Take that info and read between the lines.

Copyright claims, even if they’re not exactly 100% true. I am not endorsing doing this as it’s likely illegal to file false copyright claims, but it may (it does) work but I am not sure because I’d never do such a thing (I have)

I’m going to allow this thread to continue, for now. But be warned, you guys are really walking a line here with this topic.

There are hard rules for permabanning an account. You have to scour the users account and look for anything that ffalls into one of the categories below. Even if it’s only “sort of” related to one of the categories below, you have to single out posts and attack those posts with at least 5-10 reports from other trusted accounts. If you can get about 4 or 5 of your friends together and report them, it will sometimes work.

#5 is great if the user looks or sounds young, even if they aren’t young, they just have to appear younger than they are and often times the algo bans them just to be on the safe side. Note, they will be able to recover their account if they send a picture of their ID card or whatever

fast permaban angles to attack:

  1. Facilitating youth exploitation or child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
  2. Promoting or threatening real-world violence.
  3. Depicting or promoting non-consensual sexual content.
  4. Severe or deceptive impersonation of another person or entity .
  5. Failing to meet the minimum age requirement (13 years old ).
