You guys do any tiktok promotion? I do a lot on tiktok and wanted to share some info.
If you have a new tiktok account and want to gain the trust of the algorithm quicker so your videos start getting traction faster, do the following:
- First if you are going to create a new account, login with Facebook or Google. They also offer Apple as a login/signup option but I don’t know if Apple has the same authority aspect as Google and Facebook. If you’ve already created an account you can still connect services in the account settings so it’s not too late.
- IMPORTANT - You need to use your built-in tiktok tools on the mobile app. All of them like pictures, videos, create content with the tiktok app itself. Even if you don’t publish any of it and just save the content within the app, it’s OK. Obviously better if you also publish them but it’s not totally necessary
- Stay busy on the app engaging with other creators. Find whatever topic your page will be about and follow other creators within your industry. Comment on their content, like the content, watch their videos all the way through. Even watch some videos twice or three times. The whole goal is to show the algorithm that you’re a REAL HUMAN. So set aside a few hours per day for about a week to use the app, naturally. Take your time and watch the videos and engage in conversation in the comment section!
If you do that for a week, TikTok will be sure that you’re a human and not a bot. Just getting confirmed as a real human user puts you bumped up into a category of trusted account. It’s not going to make you go viral, but it unlocks the door so you at least now have the oppertunity to go viral. Until Tiktok can verify you’re a human, you wont go far on this platform.
