is redact’s twitter tool free? i want to delete all the tweets on my account and someone said redact’s twitter and reddit tools are free
you can use the twitter app for free, but its limited to basic use. so it really depends on how many tweets you’re trying to wipe. if you have many hundreds or thousands of tweets then you will need to use the twitter account upload feature, and I think that is not available on redact’s free version but I am not certain about that. just download redact for free and run the app, if you only have like 50 tweets or something to remove I think it will work fine for you.
anyone know the threshold for number of tweets you can delete using the free version?
I don’t know what the number of tweets is you can delete before X rate limits you. But the only way to delete 100’s or 1000’s of tweets is to download your user file from twitter then upload it into redact. THEN you can actually mass delete your stuff. If you have a substantial account history on X, redact free version probably isn’t going to work for you.

twitter rate limited me pretty fast, I didn’t get much accomplished
I did a couple hundred deletions on X using the free redact account, but that was almost two years ago. X may have adjusted their rate limits or something since then. I never had to download my userdata file, I was able to do it right out of the box using ther free redact version.
Yeah X changed something in fall of 2025 I believe. I used to be able to use the free version of redact to remove 100’s of tweets and then around fall, the amount of tweets I could remove went from 100’s to like 50. It’s almost a necessity now to delete via your data file.
