How do I bulk delete all the Twitter/X DMs from a specific account?

I’m trying to bulk remove all my direct messages from a specific user but I am having a hard time

You can pretty much follow this guide to a T, although I think that guide is a little outdated in terms of Redact’s UI.

Load up Redact’s Twitter component and select the messages option, as seen below in the image. I don’t use twitter so I have no DMs showing up in the box. However, if I did have DMs, that box below where it says “DMS” would be full of the usernames/accounts of the people whom I have message history with.

All you do is select whatever username you’re targeting from the DMS list and then proceed to wipe the conversation out. Or, you can just look for specific keywords within that conversation and delete those specific messages only.

And just to clarify, when you say deleting X DMs from a “specific account”, you mean mass deleting the messages from a specific twitter user, right?

Or do you mean how to delete ALL DMs from all the people you’ve ever had a conversation with on a specific account?

Yeah sorry for the bad communication, you had it guessed correct the first time. I am wanting to remove all of the private messages between myself and a specific user. Sorry for the confusion.

Your reply is helpful, appreciate it!!

If you have a lot of private messages on X with a lot of different people, you will likely need to load up your x.com account history file and run the app off that to get your private messages cleared. If you try and do too much on Redact, X will start timing you out.
