Features:

Mass delete friends

Mass delete chat history

Identify and mass-remove Saved in Chat items (messages, photos, videos)

Detect “Saved by them vs saved by me” (and show what can’t be removed)

Mass delete past stories (public and private)

Bulk remove friends, block, or mute

Scan for public facing info and reduce exposure (Bitmoji visibility, Snap Map settings, etc.)

One-click “wipe conversation list” (as much as Snapchat allows)

Deletion guardrails:

  • Require confirmation for high-impact actions (“delete all Memories”)

  • Optional PIN / biometric lock inside the app

  • Rate-limit controls (“slow mode” vs “fast mode”)

I wouldn’t mind having some deletion tools for snapchat. Not that I have much going on within the snapchat platform, but always nice to have content control acxross all of these social media sites

Same here! Snapchat feels temporary until you realize your friends list, saved chats, memories, and old Stories can turn into a whole little time capsule you didn’t ask for.

If Redact ever does add Snapchat, the killer features for me would be: bulk remove friends (inactive, added before X date, or not interacted with in X months), wipe chat threads in batches, and mass delete Memories/Story archives by date range, with a preview mode so you don’t accidentally nuke the wrong stuff. Bonus points for a local export first, because Snapchat’s own tools are a lot of tapping and some options only “clear” from your view, not the other person’s.

Yes please add this… my niece told me Snapchat keeps a lot more than people realize. I had assumed everything disappears but apparently that is not really how it works. -Gerald
