Hello, I just installed Redact on Fedora, using the guide at Install Redact on Fedora using the Snap Store | Snapcraft and now when I try to open the app, it simply sits there with a screen of a cat on a skateboard, while it says ‘starting…’. It’s been an hour now and no change. I rebooted as well. If i hover the application in the taskbar, it says ‘Redact updating’.
Is there anything I can do to get this to work? I really need to clean up my discord account from all personal information before we are required to use facial ID.

Hey @Namiswan our snap package doesn’t get updates, so this is expected - sorry for the confusion. I recommend downloading Redact as an AppImage directly from our website. Redact is also available as an AUR package that we maintain.
AppImages are generally superior to Snap packages anyhow. I personally like to use Gear Level to manage them.
We’ll be releasing a Flatpak to Flathub at some point.

Just want to mention - I’m on Ubuntu and for some weird reason the current version appimage didn’t launch when I clicked on it directly. Only after I tried your suggestion to use Gear Lever I could launch using that.
