I know someone who uses your app on Discord to sort-of manage his server. Remove topics, people, DMs, etc. He said there is a discord admin feature that allows him to do this.

So I control a pretty large sub-reddit and would there be any use for me as a moderator of a sub? I didn’t see anything on the features list suggesting so, just wanted to double check.

Hey Gerald, thanks for the question!

Short answer - Redact can’t be used for subreddit moderation.

The main reason for this; subreddit mods can’t actually ‘delete’ posts from other users - they can ‘remove’ them from the subreddit, and ‘lock’ them to prevent further engagement. But only the user can actually delete the post. ([reddit mod thread explaining this here](https://www.reddit.com/r/modhelp/comments/1i5wpu3/how_do_i_delete_someones_post_on_my_subreddit/))

Most of the automation moderators want can be built using Reddit’s built in automod features ([details here](https://www.reddit.com/r/modguide/comments/db2gfy/automoderator_what_it_is_and_how_to_set_it_up/))

If you do find yourself needing to take repetitious, basic actions as a subreddit mod feel free to make a feature request and we can investigate automating it 🙂
