I was reading on a forum last night that sceduling a tiktok post will make the video less viral and the tiktok algorithm will show it way less than a live or freshly recorded video.

Then I started googling that subject and found a ton more posts on places like reddit and other websites saying the same thing.

Any thoughts on this? The rationale I was reading did kind of make a lot of sense. But it’s all just guesses, nobody really knows. Def got me thinking though.

Check these threads and posts out:

- [Reddit - Please wait for verification](https://www.reddit.com/r/socialmedia/comments/1mikgwt/am_i_tripping_or_do_schedulers_actually_kill_your/)

But on the flip side of the coin, look at [this post](https://multilogin.com/blog/do-scheduled-posts-get-less-views/). And that post, they actually did hard testing and concluded that not only does it not hurt, the scheduled posts did better.

And [another post](https://vistasocial.com/insights/do-scheduled-posts-get-less-views/).

But here’s the thing, all the info saying it’s BS only comes from companies who are in the game of social media management software and SaaS. So their claims will always be a bit tainted and questionable.

I have never heard of this but it does kind of make sense because sceduling posts vs releasing them organically feels…not as pure and clean.

you’re not imagining it. i’ve tested this a bunch and on tiktok specifically the scheduled ones just sit there dead. same video, same caption, posted manually 20 mins later and it does 5x. instagram’s more forgiving for whatever reason but tiktok really seems to want you posting straight from the app.

Honestly I think it’s less about the scheduler itself and more about what you do around the post. When you schedule and walk away, you’re not there in that first 30-60 mins replying to comments and that early engagement window is huge. The algo reads that dead silence and just stops pushing it. You should try scheduling but set a reminder to jump in the second it goes live and see if that does anything for you

I manage an account with a few million followers and I’ve A/B tested this to death because my team swore scheduling killed reach. For us? No diffference. Some of my best performing videos were scheduled through Buffer. So take the “schedulers are death” stuff with a grain of salt, it might be more account/niche specific than people realize.

@AutoZoneManager Soooo you are or you are not a AutoZone manager? Please clarify immediately because I only slept with you so I could get discount parts. If you’re not actually an AZ manager, we have big problems…
